TO THE MEN WHO PROUDLY NAVIGATE WITHOUT DIRECTION
TO THE MEN WHO ARE FEARLESS YET SOMEWHAT INSECURE
TO THE MEN WHO "ALWAYS" PICK UP THE DINNER CHECK
TO THOSE MEN WHO HAVE A REPUTATION THAT PROCEEDS

To those men [that can honestly call themselves such] who are concerned with the prospect of psychological therapy or COUNSELING rather; as a courteous gesture I'm enlightening you all right here and now, INSIGHT, with which I hope may prove to be the final, much sought, [critical] piece of advice needed in order for you to proceed forward with confidence. Please, if you will, read and understand the following before making your decision.

Take your time now and carefully read through this comment. To fully understand this process, you've got to think "outside" the box.....

(THE INTERROGATION BOX)

-that box of a room they'll try to trap you in-, of which it's very design, be made to appear as if it were a cozy "therapuetic" lil' niche yet!, this effect, only a ploy, of the evil one's(therapist's) trickery. For it is all a well thought out and elaborate trap to entice the male subject inside.
(If these horrors are to much, go straight to last paragraph for escape details!)
Upon entering the Turning Point "Lobby" you may notice the sounds of gentle and soothing music being played to you through some kind of intercom device. If you are with your wife, which you most likely are seeing as how no real man would ever go to a therapist alone, just excuse yourself to the public restroom but!, whatever you do, try not to listen to that incessant sissy elevator music! It is laced with hidden "SUB-LINGUIL" messages in an effort to make you a feminist wussy. Also, every seat in the room has been sprinkled with a potent mix of "Phu Phu powder?" (sure.. it smells all flowerdy and fresh) and, YOU'LL THINK FRESH once you've inhaled this powderdy aphrodisiacal toxin. It makes the male mentality "soft" and "understanding to new ideas". If you stay in that Lobby/Waiting Area for very long you'll find yourself totally vulnerable when your appointment begins.(escape plans free on last paragraph)

So once they've got you all softened up and at their mercy, that's when they walk you down this long hallway to the cute lil'(chamber) er office that you will be asked to "have a seat" in.

Little cushy couch for ya. They might offer you anything at this point. Your wife will most likely be in on the whole thing. So, don't look to her for help because all she wants is to throw you to the wolves and watch them eat you alive.
(escaping plans at end)
I've personally heard stories about goood men, in the prime of life, getting sucked into one of these little sessions and after it was over, they were never the same again!!!! I think it's true also that this one guy was handcuffed to a couch and then they taped open his eyelids and made him watch a sappy chick movie during the middle of "FOOTBALL SEASON". Yeah, true story.

NO.
I forgot one last little thing.

Addicts: If what I'm about to say, you don't already know by now, you will eventually learn it to be true and, that is the fact to which, "anything" you can find to sooth your mind or bring you closer to that which is your spirit is a thing you should use with the carefullest of moderation.

I am a Christian. My life is happier and much stronger now that I have made peace with My God.

However, Religion can be an addiction too. So can eating, drinking, breathing(I use oxy myself) and pretty much anything else. Just think about the see-saw. It's strong in the middle and loose on both ends and so are we.

Let religion have a chance though. I am a Methodist. There are churches which can overwelm. The mind of an addict doesn't need or respond very well to the kind of overwelming cynicism certain Churches, of "Christ.ian Denomination", do tend to heavily exude. As you can tell, I's self- edjicated but, wasn't Jesus a long hair hippie type who, homeless, wandered about in servitude with a prostitute? If so, I think he'd fit in just fine at my Church. Methodist and Presbytarian churches are solidly established in Christianity yet will not immediately persecute you for coming to worship this Sunday. So don't run to such extremes looking for God. You don't even have to own a bible to know My Lord. If you show up at my church in pajamas, they're just glad you could be there. I know.

That's all I had to add.
Thanks April
E A J addict.

What is one's spirit? Is it the subconcious mind? Is it an extension of the soul?

As you stated, April, there are those who define their spirituality as that of a faith in their God. According to my diction, Def[1] the connection between one's conscious and ethereal self or spirit.

I simply wish to agree with you April. If in practice the mind were made to have no self-confidence, save for that which harbors it's loyalty, then in truth this mind would be on the same order as that of an obedient pet. How the mind comes to have such an obedient demeanour is surely one of the most important factors contributing to society's many different behavioural facets. Because, be it moral or ethical, the behavioural quality of obedience is always an un-natural process of the mind. The occurance of impulsivity is a slip of the (learned) conscious in which it's composure breaks from taught ethical outlines in favor of instinctual directives.

How difficult is that. Is it wrong of us to feel tempted by what would've naturally made sense? Nature vs nurture, the war inside the minds of all mankind and surely this concept must extend to the creatures we harness as well. How it is that born instinct is over-rode can be seen in two extremes; 1)The bonds built, by a natural common sense approach, lend to the establishment of mutual respect between two "spirits" and afterwards, the slow process of leading by example will eventually result in a victory to nurture over nature.
2)The other approach is much simpler to employ yet, it's effects can render the subjected mind-less; It is the breakdown of the spirit. After a mind's connection with it's spirit(one's spirituality) has been lost, that mind will need for it's security. So long as it's security is provided for, a mind in this state will follow and obey in fear of itself. That is fine for the mind of a dog. Maybe the mind of a horse as well but, most pets are lucky enough to not out live their owners.

It seems that those extremes of humanity are the ingredients which serve to build or destroy us all.

Spirituality

I think the only way an addict can overcome the things for which he/she is enslaved to, is for that person to get in touch with the one thing which scares them most. Their own Spirit.

Because when you are broken, you learn to fear spirituality as it was a source of great pain. You find something to beat that fear. You begin using to escape reality or "beat" reality but, nothing enslaving, not even religion, can ever be a healthy pursuit.

So how do we regain our spirituality and find ourselves? How do we make that connection with our spirit w/out using something as a medium?

I don't know. I am broken. I am E A J. I am an addict.
