Julie is licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas (1990) and a Master of Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix (2001).
Julie enjoys counseling individuals of all ages and couples with a strengths-based approach. She uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and combined therapeutic techniques to address anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger, chronic pain, PTSD, and many other issues. She also offers teletherapy sessions.
Julie loves to work in partnership with clients, building on their strengths and teaching them coping skills. She provides support to encourage clients to feel empowered instead of stuck, become clearer on their goals, and “unlearn” unproductive habits and develop healthier thought patterns and behavior. Julie has a passion for helping clients who want to heal and work toward a better quality of life.
